I purchased this car in the fall of 1999 while at a big car show in Kalamazoo, MI.
I had been looking for something to build and I wanted something "different".
I really liked the lines of this car and loved the look of that frontend. So I bought it for $3,900. It took me a total of seven years to complete this project. I finished it in the fall of 2006. I'm always interested to see how folks come up with schemes to modernize systems on old cars when they street rod them. From the photos it looks like you widened the track of the car front and rear. I can't tell from the photos whether or not you stayed with an underbody master cylinder.
If you have a photo or two of the chassis just before body drop, I'll bet a lot of club members would be interested to see how you redid the suspension, brakes, and dealt with the underbody battery box.
A street rodder that stays true to his brand when choosing a re-power always gets extra points with me. That hemi is a wide motor. It couldn't have been easy snaking that thing inside those inner fenders..... An under-hood photo maybe?
