I’m looking for side moulding trim clips for 1959 Firesweep Explorer. I’m missing all of them and I don’t know what kind there has been. Is any company selling these? Or is there some info what they should look like?
Hi Mike,
I am currently traveling for the holidays, but might have a couple intact clips at home that I can get photos of for reference. You might also try the following two sources for clips:
Quirey Quality Design (who took over the Gary Goers products): https://quireyqualitydesign.com/
You'll want to look at the Goers' catalog that is linked there on that page to see what's available.
Restoration Specialties & Supply: https://www.restorationspecialties.com/
@davidfrank Thank you David, for your help again. I appreciate it. I will look this.
@mikahatanpaa Restoration Specialties and Supply out of Pennsylvania is more than likely the number one source for any kind of trim clips. There are vendors on eBay selling them as well, but it wouldn't surprise me if they get them from Restoration Specialities. The company that David mentioned above is also a good possibility.

@deanmullinax Thank you Dean.
i’ll look this too. They sure have lots of clips.
Mika,
Here are photos of some of the clips used. I believe all of the thin (upper) sweep trim used the spring style shown. For the wider (lower) sweep trim, I think it was a combination of the spring clips and studded clips with nuts. I know the wide lower stainless on the rear quarter that kicks up from the dip of the sweep to the fin tip has some studs that go inside the rear quarter with nuts retaining them. I had to loosen these in order to replace my diecast fin tip piece (above the taillights) on my 2 door. I hope this helps.
Thank you for pictures. I thought I have seen these kinds and studded clips. Didn’t know what goes where.
Thank you for help.
