I have a rough itinerary put together on a driving tour to be held here in Kansas.
As it is now, would a tour with arrival on Tuesday, activities on Wed, Thurs, Friday, and Saturday with a Sunday farewell breakfast be something you would attend? Essentially, that's a day longer than the typical itinerary of a club convention.

Tim,
Is this a proposal for an NDC convention, or a multi-day driving tour separate from a convention?
Mark
Yes?
Might be either. Lots of brainstorming "what if's" going on right now.
If you read the recent board packets, I've brought up the idea of having a driving tour separate of the convention, with the notion that the tour would not conflict with the calendar or the geography of our traditional convention. Meaning, I wouldn't want to take away from our conventions. A convention held in the midwest might especially cause a conflict, while maybe a coastal convention might mean that a midwest event that's different from the conventions might be a viable alternative for people that can't travel long distances to get to a coastal (relatively) location.
I'm kind of testing the waters to see how much enthusiasm there would be for a multi-day tour of Kansas back roads to quirky venues that at the most might entail a 100 mile trip on a day or two, with most days being 70ish miles.
As a footnote, the itinerary has already been done by the Horseless Carriage Club, which limits its cars to pre-1915 automobiles at the National Level. Individual chapters can establish their own criteria for participation in chapter events. I'm lucky to be friends with the president of the HCCA, who is a professor at McPherson College. All this to mean, I won't take the excuse (tongue in cheek, here) that "my car is too old to do a driving tour".
