In Profile is there anyway to add an avatar? that would show up beside each of my posts?
Maybe a thumbnail picture of my car?
You're asking great questions that are pushing my newbie status of webmaster to areas that I haven't delved into yet. Everything is something of a new learning curve for me!
It's supposed to be fun!

Well, avatars can be fun, but an administrator would have to police them, so maybe this could be something to look at sometime off in the distant future
More features are great, but with each one come rules and administrators headaches. It's a balance. Hopefully.
I think I managed to enable avatars last night, but I ran out of time to create one for myself before I announced my latest victory.
Maybe you can get one loaded, and advise us on your file size, etc. go to "edit my profile" in the user control panel and see if you find it there.

Yup. It's there and it works. I just added the first one I could find (It is my Urn, for future use. . . My wife is a potter and makes some pretty fantastic bird post-sitters. She made some pet urns for customers, so I asked her to make one for me. She screwed this one up though. The legs of the birds are hollow and go right into the jar part. That won't matter for ashes, but I wanted to use it as a cookie jar for the next 20 or so years
Now I have to see if I can Photoshop a picture of the Coronado into an avatar.
File size is described on the Edit Avatar page: no more than 6Kb, no more than 80x80 pixels. I had to save it at the lowest resolution, but for what it is used for that doesn't matter.
