Looking for a new home for my partially disassembled 1950 S14 Custom sedan (FluidDrive). As of now it is a rolling/steering project ready to load on a flat bed. I can no longer work on it. Hoping someone would be willing to.
It would be a shame to have it scrapped...
Asking $2500 or make me an offer.
The car is located and can be viewed in Belmont, CA. If interested – contact me at imasluk@yahoo.com.
It is 100% complete - I have every single part that was removed from the car including those that were replaced - all these plus a full set of NOS fenders will be included with the car.
The car was purchased by me in Santa Rosa, CA in 2001 from a former club member who previously purchased it from the original owner in Los Angeles. I believe that this car came from the LA plant, spent all its life in California and is absolutely rust free. It was painted over once in 1975 and was 100% original otherwise.
Some years ago I’ve started restoration and here is what’s been done up to date:
- front clip, fenders, engine, transmission, suspension, rear axle removed;
- frame dropped from underneath the body and completely dissembled;
- frame and underside of the body were stripped, cleaned and painted with Eastwood’s Rust Encapsulator and Extreme Chassis Black;
- frame reassembled and reunited with the body;
- suspension and rear axle reinstalled;
- brakes refilled with a DOT 5 fluid.
Every single bearing, cup, and seal was replaced with NOS part. Every single part used in the reassembly was either NOS or a rebuilt with the exception of:
- new frame to body mount cushions from SteeleRubber;
- new model correct coil and leaf springs from Eaton Detroit Spring;
- new stainless steel brake and fuel lines formed after originals;
- new aftermarket shocks;
- new aftermarket wheel brake cylinders.
Interior, dash, engine and transmission have not yet been touched. Car has 83.4k original miles.
