Admin, forgive me if this is in the wrong category. I believe in helping out the next guy, none of us can go it alone. Having said that, we undertook a 48 S-11 some time ago and during the initial visual once over, I suspected moderate frame damage might have occurred in the vehicle's past. I procurred factory chassis specs, stripped the front end sheet metal & power train out of the car. Then I trailored it to a body shop and had them check the car against the factory specs. Sure enough, it was 'out/diamond just over two inches. It was the best $125. I have spent on the car. Now, everything fits. Let me be the first (of many I hope) to post chassis specs for the 46-48 S-11. If any one else has specs for their car, please post.
Ed,
Thanks for sharing this info. Will be a big help once I tear down my 48. I noticed some damage to the front right frame horn.
