I’m trying to find a new gasket for the back glass on my 54 firedome. Or a way to restore the original rubber seal. It’s pretty hard but mostly intact except for a couple places. I know rubber has a life of about 5 or 7 years and it’s almost 70 now. Steele rubber doesn’t offer one for a 54 thank you.

I know this post is a bit old, but many people have had luck rubbing ORIGINAL Gojo hand cleaner onto seals to soften them. It may take several applications and time for it to soak in. This will not fix any breaks or cracks, but it's a lot easier to handle since it will be more pliable. Other reproduction sources to check include Andy Bernbaum and Quirey Quality Design (who took over for Gary Goers).
