I have what I believe is a two gang electric window switch for a 55-56 Ply, Dodge, DeSoto & Chrysler. The part number on the box is almost unreadable but I believe it is 1622374. Where was a two gang switch used on these models? I thought these cars had a four gang switch on the driver's door and single switches on the other doors or windows. Anyone know?

Mac,
Just a guess, but perhaps this was used in the Imperial limousines? The driver had control of the front door windows but the parties in the passenger area had full control of the rear windows?? Again, just a guess...
Mark
There are different part numbers for the Imperials, but there are single, two gang, and four gang switches listed for all 55-56 CDDP lines. Perhaps, if there were no two gang switch applications, a two gang switch could be ordered to repair a four gang switch where only one position was bad. Mac
I was thinking along the same lines as Mark, but I couldn't find an application for Imperial. I don't have a reference for the LWB models so that could be one use. Could also be that those 3 door Plymouth wagons had a power window option? If I remember correctly, the back seat windows don't roll down. How about the sweptside Dodge trucks or Town wagons? Were Power windows an option?
Have a nice day
