Rick,
There have been numerous posts complaining about uploading photos. I have several photos to upload to accompany a post. I've resized all the photos to web page size, none larger than 67KB, all JPG files. I fiddled with uploading for ten minutes and the best I could do was to get one photo to upload.
I'm reasonably computer literate so can understand the frustration of those that are not and encounter similar trouble. This feature shouldn't be so difficult to use. What can we do to make uploading photos easier?

Rick,
Without searching posts for statements from others that have had problems, I believe your claim that 90% have no problem is rather generous. Regardless, if you can upload photos without any issues, how about a step-by-step tutorial for us 10%?

Click on browse, click on picture you want to ad,open, click on submit
I have for the most part given up on uploading photos to this site. I can sometimes get it to work with Firefox, never with IE, and it takes forever even with a 10K file.
I upload to a dozen other site on a regular basis without any issues.
I have noticed other programmatic issues with the site not just the uploading of photos. For the last year, until I had my account killed and recreated last month, I had to log in twice to be recognized. I just put up with it.
Since a site such as this is large ongoing reference for everyone who is a member of the Desoto Club, I think this either needs to be sorted out or the issue needs to be brought up for discussion at the club level to have a site that works well for 99% of the membership some 100% of the time.

I have been frustrated many times trying to add attachments and losing the post and having to re-type it or just give up. I have found that this occurs when I click on "add the atachment" and that if I click "browse", open the attachment and click on submit without clicking on "add the attachment", this usually works. I notice in Rick's instructions above, he does not mention using the "add the attachment" button.

Mac, You are a genius. I never tired that but I just did and it worked. There must be a bug in the upload code.

Browse, select your file, and submit. I am not sure if lack of Windows 7 causes problems.
so in order to upload multiple files, do we need to go back and edit our posting as many times as we have photos?
I just did a preview and then added another photo and it load them both. Very odd behavior, but it worked. Obviously some buggy code, but as long as the work around keep working...
