Just bought a pair of repro 55 Desoto parking light lenses from an ebay seller, Streetlens, from Australia. Has anyone had any dealings with this guy ? Is he affiliated with George Laurie ?

Here is the link for the item:

Here is the link to the eBay seller feedback page. 100% feedback based on nearly 1,000 responses would suggest someone other than George Laurie. Appears to be a good seller.

Ron...let us know your how your experience goes.

Just to let you know that this guy is nothing to do with me in any way, just anouther newbe getting in on the act.
It would be nice to think that as the original lens maker and Club member that other club members would continue to see me as there source for Lenses and Emblems. I have been supplying unconditionaly gauranted High Quality parts for many years for just about all the Desoto's not just a couple of the more saleable parts like the 55 and 56 park lenses.
Looking forward to your continued custom, George.

George -

The issue is that when we send you some money for a part, we have no idea what your turn around time is. If I send you some money on November 1, will I see the part in two weeks or a month or two months or six months or ? If you could assure us of a 2 to 4 week turnaround, then many of us would gladly send you some money.

In this case, the part was available immediately. So that was the deciding factor.

Yes I can be slow, but a lot of that depends on what is ordered. The 55 park lenses for instance are quick and easy compared to a lot of other parts, so yes quick to go out if that is all that is ordered.
Mind you there is something strange going on with the mail lately. very slow and spasmotic coming from and going to overseas, it has been a pain lately, George.

George -

So what is your turnaround time for the plastic roof medallions for Fireflite 2dr HT ? I'm referring to the circular ones...gold DeS on a black background.

Ron, I make the Emblems in small batches so if I have some above those already on order they go out quickly. If not then there is a long wait while I make them. Emblems are VERY time consuming to make.
I think I would have a pair of the roof pillar emblems available at the moment so they could be posted in a few days ( I only go to town twice a week ) and don't forget my parts are unconditionaly gauranted. I even replace at no cost if they get lost in the mail and I dought anyone else offers that? George.
