I need to replace the dash speaker in my 1956. It is 6" x 9".
What wattage speaker should I get and who might be a good source?
thanks.

Do you know your radio's model #? I can check Sam's Fotofact for specs but it's organized by radio models, not by car models.

You can also check this site http://www.turnswitch.com/speakers.htm

Igor, there are places that replace the paper cone if that is what is wrong with the speaker. Let me know, I can look them up.

Mike, this is where I had a superheterodyne radio speaker done - it was not in a car but they should be able to do car radio speakers also.
