A possible future De Soto owner sent the following to me:
We have found a 1936 Desoto 4 door Airstream which has the original restored body and interior and customized with a new Chrysler engine, brakes and transmission. Exterior paint is in great shape and interior has been completely restored.
We are considering purchasing this but cannot find much information about this year and model car. Can you lead us in a direction for assistance.
We presently have a 1931 Model A Roadster in stock original condition. We have been looking for a 4 door sedan and we came across this car this weekend. As we said the outside and inside is original stock which is what we want. However, everything under the hood has been updated to modern technology. The car is in perfect condition and has 2,000 miles since the restore 8 years ago. The asking prices is in the low 20's.
Our questions are as follows:
1. What are the opinions of others on an original stock car with the updated technology. Will this car retain it's value in the next 10 years.
2. How many Desoto Airstream's are there today. We like cars that are not ordinary where everyone has one. Did we run across one of these?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

FYI...I sent an e-mail to Michael and received this response:
Thanks for responding but the seller already sold the car before I could gather information.
