Replacing my '55 oil pump when the pan is off and new bearings are installed. Shop is going to verify old stock rebuilt pump is working properly before installing. I'd like to have the old pump rebuilt to have handy if needed. Can anyone recommend an oil pump rebuilding service?

I know this does not apply to you because you do not
have the 1956 or 1957 De Soto "Tall Block".
The National De Soto Club's Store has the Oil Pump
Repair Kit for $60 each. If you contact the only other
place that has them ( http://www.kanter.com///productdetail.a ... 32&Prc=359 ),
they are asking $89 each.
