I recently purchased a 1955 Desoto Firedome coupe. The windows need to have the seals and material between the glass trim and glass replaced. There is only the center flipper spring on the passenger side and the back two on the drivers side. Are any body panels available?
Thanks,
Arvin Appelman

Hey, Arvin!
Congratulations on your '55! They are great cars, and great looking, too!
I make the flipper springs you need, sold in full sets of 6. They are handmade in .055" stainless steal spring wire, patterned after the originals. You can find them for sale on ebay, but I offer them to club members where I cover the postage (domestic US).
Quality reproduction sheetmetal is nearly non-existant. There are some western junkyards that sometimes can provide solid original panels.
Let me know if you would be interested in a set of springs!

It's supposed to be fun!

I am interested in a set of springs. Do you know is there is a replacement for the side window wipers and the material between the stainless window frame and the window glass?
I tried to send a message but the site wouldn't let me. Message given was that I couldn't do it yet. What so I need to do to be able to direct message?
I sent you a message to see if you are able to receive them or if that also is an issue. Please confirm whether or not you got it.
David
I got the message but was not able to reply.
I will try to look into it this week or early next week and see if I can resolve the issue. It may just be a default permissions checkbox that needs to be changed.
Thanks
@arvin-appelman I admit I did not get as much time to look at this as I wanted this week. Can you send me an email at fireflite56@gmail.com with your phone number? Talking through it on the phone may help us resolve the issue.
Sure
Has anyone changed the belt tensioner bearing on a 291 or is there a suitable replacement for the pulley assembly?
