All you awesome guys with the Master Parts Books!

I had a call to the shop from a gentleman looking for help with the rear window weatherstrip on his 1950 Custom Club Coupe.

The car has a chrome molding on the exterior of the glass.

Can somebody provide the weatherstrip part number and any possible interchanges, such as the Chrysler Club Coupe or the Dodge Coronet?

Steele Rubber does not list a specific weatherstrip for the DeSoto, but does for some of the other club coupes.

Thanks again for any and all help.....

It's supposed to be fun!

My parts book is of little help with your request. Andy Bernbaum lists this piece for the 50 DeSotos and Chryslers with and without chrome molding at the following site:

Thanks, Mac.

Sadly, I've experienced Bernbaum's windshield weatherstrips, and couldn't recommend them to anybody.

Perhaps his earlier parts are better than the ones I used on the '56

Tim,

Sorry for a delayed reply - I haven't been checking this forum (or any others) for a while but in case you're still looking for the info, here is what I have:

My 1950 book lists rear window weatherstrip (group 23-63-112) for a 1950 Club Coupe DeSoto S14 (DeLuxe and Custom) and Dodge D34 (DeLuxe, Custom and Special) as part #1333 683. However my 1954 parts book doesn't have this part# at all and only lists part 1364 424 for all 1950 Dodge 4-dr and Club Coupes. Pictures of the related pages from both books are attached.

Hope this helps,
- Igor.
