We are looking for yet another set of headlight bezelss for the '56 Firedome we are restoring. The set that came with the car "blew up" with massive pits/holes when the plating shop stripped them.
The 2nd set we sent (one from KS, the other from CA) didn't fair much better, so we are looking for another set of good cores that would survive the re-plating process.

Tim -
Check out Bill Grubbs' post in the 'Ultimate 1955 and 1956 Desoto Group' on facebook. He mentions a guy that has miscellaneous 56 Desoto parts that he is selling. The photos show a pair of headlight doors.
Ron
yeah, but they're for a Fireflite....

Tim,
You say "bucket" but it sounds like you are talking about the headlight bezel or door. I've always thought the headlight bucket was the apparatus behind the headlight that contained the adjusting mechanism and wiring. Then you have the headlight, the headlight rim and headlight door/bezel. Or am I all wet?
Anyway, here is a door/bezel: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-OEM-1956-Ch ... 73&vxp=mtr

Tim,
Here is another possibility for some cores:

Mark, your terminology is more accurate for what I'm talking about. I think I bounced back and forth using "bucket" and "bezel" as I was sending out emails and letters to club members with #6 Firdedomes listed in the club roster.
The same bezel was used on the '56 Windsor, as well.
I've had that bezel you referenced on ebay on my watch list, and at some point had discounted it as being incorrectly listed, but now I've waffled back to thinking that it may be the correct application after all. Wish he had a pair!
Thanks for the Craigslist lead. I will get in contact with them.
