I wanted to show another that others seek our
cars for various reasons and he could do this with
his too.
Here are some of the replies that have been sent to
me since Saturday.
.....
Does this count?

My 1990 Caprice has been used a few times for TV and one local film.
My 69 Fury is going to be used in a movie slated to be filmed here about
the 68 riots and the Chicago seven.
Once I get the 60 done, I'll keep my fingers crossed for more period work.
Here's my favorite:

My white '60 was used to make a commercial for Toro Outdoor Lighting
in 1986. Frankly the car is in better shape now than it was then, but
the filming of the commercial was a success. It played the part of a
"mother in law's car" driving past her daughter's family home as they
were looking out the window admiring their newly installed outdoor lighting.
When they see the car coming towards their home, the husband quickly
closed the curtains.
I gave my copy of the ad to my parents since they bought the car new,
The agency flat-beded the car to the site. I was unavailable so my parents
were at the shoot. They said they were treated well and there was a big
buffet for lunch.
They treated both me and the car with respect. My parents really enjoyed
the event. ;
......
Most of my cars have been used in Films and TV Most recently the Pa Am TV
show, My 58 Plymouth conv,62 Newport,56 Dodge ,56 Plymouth savoy,
Checker Cabs and others. Also a recent Photo shoot for P.R.A.D.A. shoe co.
As you can see, there is another good reason to have our
cars around.
Not to sure "where I'm going" , but this is good what I got.

My '55 DeSoto and several AACA KYANA Region members cars had brief cameo appearances in the locally produced film "Breaking and Entering". After local release, the film went absolutely nowhere, but being involved in the filming was fun. About the film: http://www.breakingandenteringthemovie. ... tfilm.html

A good friend of mine lent his Tucker (36)out for the making of the movie Tucker. When it came back the rear seat was missing, they had put it in another car whose interior wasn't completed luckily its a close knit Car Club and his seat was returned,Someone had rolled the rear window down and left it in the rain for two days. When returning the car some brake fluid had leaked from the car above his and ruined the paint. All they gave him was $2500.00 for damages. He said never again would anyone use his car.
why don't these production companies hire a competent care taker for when the cars are in their possession? You'd think the insurance companies would insist on it.
It's supposed to be fun!
