Perhaps you, like me, have noticed a lack of messages and responses from regular Message Board contributor Mac George. This past weekend, I was able to attend the Charlotte Spring Auto Fair and met with old friends Phil Rast and Dean Mullinax while there. Phil and Dean informed me that Mac suffered an accidental fall and broke both a leg and an arm. His absence from here is certainly understandable. I'm going to send him a get well card and perhaps you may want to as well. His address from the roster issue is:
200 Doublebrook Drive
Laurens, SC 29360
Mark K.
Thanks for the information, Mark. I will surely send something out to him. He is missed.

Mark,
Thanks for the shoutout and to all who were kind enough to send cards. These are greatly appreciated.
I am still kicking, just not as high. I am recovering well and have resumed many of my normal activities. I got the DeSoto out today for the first time since January and plan to drive it to Greenville Saturday to club member Hennie Jacobs cookout.
Again, thanks for all the words of encouragement.
Mac
Great to see you posting again Mac. Hoping you have a speedy and complete recovery. Les
Mac,
Great to have you back! Enjoy the DeSoto this weekend.
Mark
Welcome back, Mac!
Happy to see that you're back in action!
Bob Terpak recently forwarded to me the e-mail below from Mac George. As you can read, this has certainly not been Mac's year. First a broken arm and leg, and now they find a malignant tumor on his liver and he has 70% of his liver removed. I called Mac today knowing that he, like me, was wishing we were in MSP at the Convention. Mac is home and recovering well and his prospects are good. I know he would enjoy hearing from his DeSoto friends. His address shows in the opening post to this thread and his phone number can be found in the DeSoto Club roster.
This has not been my year. My broken leg and arm had me out of
commission for February, March and April. I found out in June I had a
malignant tumor on my liver and had 70% of my liver removed on July 2nd
and returned home on the 12th. I will not be able to attend the
convention this year of course.
I hope all is well with you.
Mac
