I'll grant you that it's an unusual photo, but regardless it's a BUICK!? I'm a little puzzled as I thought this was the DeSoto Club; imagine a first time visitor.
Rick...we've got a photo gallery chock full of member's car photos of DeSotos. How about rotating a few of those on the home page?
Mark
now not to sure where it is , but somewhere on my computor there is a pic of a 39s6 desoto rail car in alaska .
Most of the Members enjoy seeing different car related things.we are all into old cars I've had gas stations one the home page that doesn't make us a gas station site
This gives new meaning to traveling by rail. Although the picture is of a 39 Buick, the grille is eerily similar to a 1940 DeSoto. It appears Chrysler was ahead of GM in intergrating the headlights into the front fenders of their cars in 1939.

Rick...nice photo on the home page!!!
If you run low on suitable photos, go to Google images and search for "DeSoto". Many there to choose from. Here is a direct link:
I have many images of Members cars
that are on Flickr.
They are set as Creative Commons and
are available for use on the website.
Some of these are images from the Binder Collection as well as images from 2007 Waldorf Maryland,
2008 Gettysburg PA, and 2009 Saint Joseph Michigan. There are a few videos as well.
If any one in the club would like to download
these images they are welcome to.
If any members would like me to upload images of their cars to the gallery I would be happy to do that as well if it is OK with the Members and the WebMaster.

If you think its a good photo for the home page send it to me I'm the only one that can ad a pic to the home page.
Kent;
When you're in the "post a reply" window, there is an opportunity below the text and options area to "upload attachment". Use the browse button to go to where your image is on your computer, select your image, and click "add the file".
Submit your reply as normal.
I didn't even have to resize my photo. On the old website, the image had size limitations, which doesn't seem to apply to the new version.
It's supposed to be fun!
