Who can tell me the name of the place that completed the gold anodizing of Adventurer wheelcovers a time or two, a number of years ago? Thank you.

You mean to make them look like this?

"It's delightful, it's delovely, it's DeSoto"

Yes, that's what I asked, but what company did them?

I did them myself. It is not the anodizing procedure you asked about but they look good enough to me and should be good for show and go and last for a fairly long period of time.

Very nice, Fred! Great job. I was asking for an overseas restorer who needs to have his wheelcovers done. Still looking for an answer to who the Club had do them in the re-anodizing projects of a few years ago.

BTW, Fred, I don't think I have you in my database of 1957 owners. If you can, please contact me directly at desoto@pathway.net so we can get you and the car in there!

I believe it was Doug Dressler involved with that project. He is not a member anymore though.

Thanks, Jim. I know that Doug was involved, but I am trying to track down which COMPANY actually did the work.

Yeah, I figured you already knew that... but thought "just maybe" you may not have. I don't have his contact info anymore.

For what it's worth, I've seen Doug at several AACA meets over the last few years at which I have judged. He is and has always been cordial to me. Several local AACA Region members are active with AACA record keeping and I'm sure I can get Doug's current contact info if needed. Someone let me know either in response or via PM.

Mark
