i have a set of what appear to be 15" (the outside dia is 17") adventurer like caps with a mostly black plastic center emblem with a "V" design).
did the mfgr of the desoto/fury gold caps for chrysler make 'generic' versions to sell in the broader auto accessory market?

The Gar-Wood company sold aftermarket hub caps of the same design. I had a set in a box in the 70's.

Have a nice day

Charles,

They could be El Morocco wheel covers; if so, very rare and perhaps more valuable (?) than Adventurer caps. See here:

Those are the same as the Gar-Wood caps. I suspect they are aftermarket parts that were sourced for the El-Morocco. The Adventurer caps do not have a removable center. Does anyone know who made the Adventurer hub caps?

Have a nice day
Steve
