I would like to get a belt to carry as a spare. Original is pt. #1117603. NAPA wants $36.99 for their NBH2524489. Advance Auto wants $15.49 for their Dayco #24490. I found one made by Gates Roadmax on sale for $1.99! (15570AP) Can anyone tell me the LENGTH of the belt so I can be sure of getting the correct one? I don't feel like taking it off the engine just to measure it.
Just saw on eBay's listing for the Gates belt that it is incompatible with '46 DeSoto.
John the length is 49 inches. I do not think I would trust a fan belt for $1.99 are you sure it is not 19.99?

I went ahead and bought the NAPA belt. Outfit selling $1.99 belt did not reply to email or answer the phone. However Gates is a big company manufacturing belts.
