Sorry I wasn't specific; I was thinking in terms of highlighter pens....
We had a great discussion a few months ago about paint on my 1953 Firedome wagon, and I thought there might be some interest in learning the rest of the story. I hired a good body guy to fix several areas of rust, and I decided to go with his recommendation on paint. So I wound up with period-typical, single-stage paint. The top is Wimbledon white and the body is (I am told) periwinkle. Satisfactory choices because (1) we are getting lots of compliments on it and (2) I like it. The latter was the consensus of your expert advice. Here's a photo, and also a detail of the tailgate hinges. Thought they would look nicer with neoprene pads, showing just a little, like the door handles have. Front bumper chrome is as purchased, a bit tatty. Rear bumper is straightened and replayed. Both photos are rather high resolution, so if you are on a slow Internet connection, you might not want to click them.

John,
Looking good! If it wasn't an original '53 color it should have been! Keep up the good work.

Hola John
I too echo what was just said about the car "lookin Good" from Mark.

John, real sweet looking! I own a 53 Sedan so I see this as looking very much like a very nice 53 wagon - a real nice one. Depending on budget and time, you could still get the power train original - the components are around. Nice job.
