The reason I ask is that a friend of mine just bought a 1932 Desoto 4-door Sedan, and one of the previous owners claim that this car has been owned by Al Capone.
We don't really believe that to be the truth, but if somebody can confirm that Al Capone did have such a car, it might be worth investigating the history of the car.
Al we know is that the car was on display in an "Al Capone Museum" in Toronto until the museum was closed down around 1990.
Thank you very much for any information, thoughts og ideas you might have on this topic.

Verner,

With all due respect, owning a DeSoto would have been a few steps backward in prestige for Big Al. A quick Google search for Capone's cars shows he once owned an armored 1928 Cadillac, among others.

It would be to your advantage to research and try to validate that Capone did once own a DeSoto, if not your car.

Thanks Mark
I know about the Cadillac, and that one of the reasons I don't really believe that "our" Desoto did belong to Mr. Capone.
Regards
Verner
