Watch this weeks ABC News 20/20 program on Friday evening for a chilling story involving two DeSoto’s and their owners.
After a recent old car event in Carroll County MD, two members of the DeSoto Owners Club of Maryland, Jim and Bill, were returning home when both of the cars developed a curious problem on a remote back road. Both cars stopped running at the same time. Jim was driving his 1953 four door Firedome and Bill was in his 1954 Firedome sedan. As they exited their cars to inspect the cause of the problem, they quickly realized they were not alone.
Looking up towards the sky, there was a swirling disk like object with almost blinding lights.
The next thing they remember was waking up several hours later along the same road with a vague recollection of what happened to them. They went over their experiences and made many notes helping to jog their memory for clues. 38 years ago a similar incident happened in Main and the News program will compare the two events.
About the only thing Jim and Bill vividly remember was seeing the number 401 clearly on the underside side of the mysterious flying object.
What do you suppose that meant?
I think that it's way too early in the morning for April Fools' Day celebrations...put down that mimosa, Thomas!
Hmmmm....401, huh? Could it have been a mid-60's Buick?
