Today I, after much anticipated waiting, my Christmas presents from the hubby arrived. Amongst them was a fabulous book "It's Delightful! It's Delovely! It's... Desoto Automobiles" by Dennis David. Anybody seen or read this? It's wonderful. The beautiful, glossy pages are full of historical content including color pictures, advertising, and artist renderings. I had no idea that one of our own had published such a beautiful book. Pictorial contributions also from Les Pesavento and Lee Exline.
If you're a Desoto enthusiast, it's definitely worth adding to your collection (if you don't have it already). This is surely my favorite gift this year.

Jessica...it is a great book about our favorite marque. The author, Dennis David, is a regular attendee at recent DeSoto Conventions. I'm sure if you take your copy to the next Convention he will sign it for you! Hope we see you in Reno in 2011!

We hope to be there this year. My husband will be deployed for the next year, and will hopefully be able to take leave so he can make it.
I find it Delightful to come across such a nice piece of literature that was written by and contributed to by someone within our community. I hadn't known about the book prior to today, but I feel proud to be a part of this community with those who endeavor to preserve our hobby. I admire the hard work that went into the research and collaboration. For me, this is all so much more than just building a car.
