Les

Can you give me some information about a Dealer ship that was
at Lemmon, South Dakota called "The Eastside Garage" ?

The second one would of been in Atlanta, Georgia in 1955/1956.

John Edward Burke purchase a 1955 after the 1956's were on the lot
in Atlanta. His son ( known to me as my Uncle Jack in Cassleberry, Fla) now states the car was "a burnt orange with a cream white for accents".

Rodger: Check the menu on the left side-3rd item from the bottom-dealers which will give you our listing of over 3300 dealerships arranged by state/city along with addresses if we have them

Old dealership buildings provide a starting point for looking for DeSoto items, if not for old faded DeSoto signs on the side or back of the building

Sounds like Emberglow and Surf White, a gorgeous color combination on the '55!

That is the color combination of my '55 Fireflite.
We do get a lot of comments on the color.

As an aside, I had the extreme pleasure of speaking with Rodger Reddish
on the phone a few nights ago. We had a great conversation about
Desotos and MG's.
Rodger, thanks again for your help and for taking the time to call.

Dean

The West Indian company? Is that the one you hear about in the Pirate movies?
It was a Desoto dealer.

Hello To All

I hope that all of you had a pleasent 25 December 2020.

We now know because of the loyal ( and knowledgable )
De Soto follower's my Uncles Dad ( John Edward Burke
b. 1919 ) purchased a 1955 Emberglow and Surf White
De Soto in Altanta, Georgia ( after the 56's came out ).

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Today we recieved a scanned copy of a dealer ship building
that was in S. Dakota ( North End Motor's ). This had a
note stating the image was with one of their car's when
they purchased it.

I want to Thank All of You for sharing this with us. This is
like getting another Christmas Gift.

How can you track the VIN # and see where your car has been?

Lynn and Roger

Your title that you first recieved will have the last person
who owned the vehicle on it. Their title will also have the
same and it is like that "Ginger Bread Story".

Expect to pay for each copy of the title from the State
DMV's.

Another way to to the same is to use Google to back-track
the prevous owner or owners.

For our car we have the original S. Dakota Information,
Escondio, California and then their retrurn to S. Dakota
information all from the same owner. It was in the Glove
Box.
