A Club member called me as '55 Coordinator asking if I could provide any guidance to replacing or repairing the power brake booster on his '55. My '55 fortunately does not have power brakes so I have never had to face that music. I know the '55 booster is unique to the '55 model year, it's the same as the Chrysler and Imperial booster, it was prone to early failure and due to it's one year usage and unreliable nature repair parts and sources are few and usually expensive. What advice can anyone provide to the Club member that needs his booster rebuilt? Thanks in advance for your feedback and recommendations!
