Since some members only received their May-June magazine around August 1 I suspect many members did not get the ballot until after the Due date of July 28,2018.
This has been discussed by several members of a local chapter and they have also noted the lateness of the ballot I do not think this is a fair results since the ballot has been received after the due date.

I have received two ballots since the deadline, one with a note stating that he hadn't received his copy of the magazine until August. I don't know why some of our members didn't get their magazine until August while others got it in early July. Nor do I know the number of members who didn't get their magazine until August and the number of members who got their magazine in July. I have kept both of the late ballots, and will keep any additional ballots that I receive this month.
This will now be a topic of discussion at the Trustees' Open and Regular meetings at our convention in a couple of weeks.

Is there still a mailing option for the magazine where you can choose standard delivery via bulk mail vs. first class? Bulk mail can sit for weeks at a post office as they take their sweet time to deliver. I choose first class and got mine early in July.

All magazines are mailed First Class and shipped from the publisher on June 28th. I will be talking to them this week and will broach this problem. It isn't acceptable to me (and any one who received their issue in August). If I get an answer I'll let y'all know...
This time “John” was really Bill Noble. Bill has administrator log-in privileges so that he can post board agendas to the “members only” forum.
Sometimes I don’t realize that I’m logged in as JohnSmith due to cookies logging me in automatically, which I suspect might be the case here for Bill as well.
