Hola All
While speaking because of another item I have some of the answer's.
Do not take this "as granite" since I am not part of the Planning Commity.
The Convention seems to be at the XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Removed by Rick
I feel as if I am "out of line" passing on this information and I am sure The
Planner's want to do it correctly.

...You are a few months early
It's never too early to plan to attend a DeSoto event! Having previously hosted a Convention and contemplating doing another, you cannot over-promote. The sooner they provide some details the more members will decide to attend.

This posting about the Convention has been posted a few months earlier than it has ever been. The Hotel does not have a signed contract yet the just got back from the Convention.
Here's the info that I have on our 2012 NDC Convention:

Saturday – Car show at Camp Jordan Park, East Ridge, Tennessee with concessions in the park. Awards Banquet at the Renaissance Center; buffet at $38.00 per person.
Sunday – Farewell breakfast at host hotel complimentary.
There are some other things to do around Chattanooga also, like River Gorge and Nature Tour, River Rafting on the Ocoee River (Class V Rapids), Tennessee Aquarium, and International Towing Museum (as in tow trucks).
The group hosting this convention are still working on prices and reservations, so please do not contact the hotel until told to do so; thanks.
BTW, we're 90+% sure that the 2013 NDC Convention will be in St. Paul, MN in late July. They too are working out the details. They presented a good bid at the convention this year, but lost out to Chattanooga. They said that they would let me know by the end of this year whether or not they are willing to host the 2013 convention. If not, they I'll start accepting bids for 2013 come January 2012. If they do plan on doing the 2013 convention, then I'll start taking bids for the 2014 convention come January 2012. Either way, I'll let you know what's going on. If you want to put in a bid for a future convention, and need some help, just let me know.
