I think my car has this optional upgrade with a different carb, camshaft, air cleaner and dual exhausts. How can I tell for certain? The data plate, around the corner from the ID tag, is attached with modern hex head screws so I am not entirely sure it is the original. Any way to check that? The carb has no numbers embossed on it and no tag but it is a Carter AFB. Are tune-up specs different for this version of the 383?

I have had great success rebuilding the dash and power seat. Next up is some brake work. The pedal does nothing for the first bit of travel, but the last 1/64" will put me through the windshield.

Does anyone have suggestions for removing the cardboard kickpanels without destroying them?

Thanks for any info,
Justin

Justin,

I'm no expert on the '60 model year but I know a nice dash when I see one and you have done a great job on that dash!

As for removing the kick panels, you can probably find new reproduction kick panels on eBay or the internet. I recently bought some for my '55 DeSoto. They are die cut exact replacements and are handy to have when you bend and break the originals when removing them.

Good luck and keep up the good work!

Mark
