Welcome to the National DeSoto Club

You will find that the 59 is one of the more popular models in the club and a lot of help is available

The club maintains a listing of 59 production and requests information from your data plate

The plate is located either on the radiator support down low to the right or by the driver's door hinge

Top line should look like 0827 433 M431 1xxxxx 3?? X?X which we can translate for you

Where are you located?

Good luck

B Terpak

Holy smoke, Lee, you found it! It's the missing Shoe-mobile! For a few chuckles, go here: http://www.shoecomics.com/search_comics ... esults.php

BTW...Bob Terpak also lives in suburban Columbus, OH, and is one of the Club's foremost experts on the '59 DeSoto. I once lived in Ohio and still am a member from a distance of the Buckeye Chapter of the NDC. You are in a good place to get lots of help and advice with your restoration project.

Mark

Actually the dues for the Buckeye Chapter are only $5 per year. (We just tell Rick that it's $10 becasue he's twice the pain to put up with than the rest of us! LOL)

I think Mark's got the right idea. Do it up as Shoe's 59 DeSoto! There's tons of comic strips out there that feature the car. Collect them all and promote it as Shoes car come to life.
