I am looking for a number of parts especially some diecast parts like the fender gunsites, rear quarter top '"V'"s, door handles and a rim, etc. Any leads on who might have a parts car and is selling parts for the 59 DeSoto? Thanks, Dan

What series/model 59 do you have? Can you post some pictures?

If you have a Firesweep, there are a number of differences compared to the Firedomes/Fireflites-rims being one of them

Please post a copy of your data plate as the NDC is gathering the production information on the 59s

From there we can get you started

There is a nice guy named Alan in Mendota, Minnesota who has many '59 DeSotos. If he doesn't have the parts, he will know where to find them. Look him up in the roster. If you don't have the roster, PM me and I'll send him your contact info.

Good Luck
Steve

I have a 59 Fireflite parts car and also have both the rear quarter top V shaped pieces that I had recromed for my 59 Adventurer (I found N.O.S. pieces and did not use these) I will try to search my parts shelves and send a picture of these parts if you are interested. What other parts do you need.

Thanks to those who replied to my post. I have a 59 Adventurer. It was recently on eBay. It came from South Carolina and had sat in storage since 1964. Needless to say it needs a full restoration. For several years it sat outside. VIN # M4911005000. I have sent vin # to the DeSoto Club. Nice core parts needed for rechroming include a trunk lock cover diecast, an instrument panel and several rear light bezels. I need a repro trunk mat, the roof headliner and bows, a rim, stainless steel rocker molding, ss connection molding between rocker panel and wheel well molding, one hubcap cone, etc.

Any leads are always appreciated.

Dan
