My uncle passed away last year and I’m looking to help my father sell the Desoto parts he had stored in his garage. In his lifetime he had several 56, 57, and 58 Desoto vehicles. I have the following parts for sale. If interested please call me (Mike) at (586)909-2758.

- 1958 Convertible – Sold
- 1957 Right Firesweep Sportsmen Fender
- 1957 Left Firesweep Sportsmen Fender
Both fenders have side trim and emblems still attached. Also has driver side mirror slightly pitted. I think I have the the Chrome trim for front of fenders
- 1957 Firesweep hood. Rust Free with nice emblems, and Desoto letters. Small quarter size door ding.
- 1957 Front and rear bumpers. – SOLD
- 1957 Firesweep under hood right & left inner wheel wells, radiator support, hood release and horn support cross bar.
- 1957 Door and trunk hinges
- (2) 1957 or 1958 convertible tops – SOLD
- Rear side glass for 57 or 58 convertible - SOLD
- 1956 Firedome (???) hub caps. 2 in very nice shape black paint flaking on other 2.
- 1956 Firedome (???) complete dash – metal top, core, cluster, steering wheel, steering column. Middle radio or ash tray portion missing.
- I have several other sheet metal parts from the 57 Firesweep such as metal around the head lights, truck rail (portion between truck and rear glass), gas cap door, and other random pieces.
- There is a bunch of trim that I won’t pretend to know what its all for. Looks like side trim, and convertible interior trim. If you let me know what the piece looks like that you need I can look for it.
- (2) 2bbl Hemi Firedome engines. 1 is together missing the distributor and the 2nd has the intake and heads removed (there sitting next to it) If someone can tell me how to decode the numbers I can figure out exactly what they are from.
- I have attached a few pictures of some of the parts. Parts are locatedin the Detroit area if you'd like to see anything. Thanks, Mike

To find out what engine you have, look at the front top center of the block in front of the valley for a flat spot with some numbers like S23 or S24A and then post what you found.

Have a nice day
Steve

Michael, the engine sure looks like the hemi in my 53 Desoto Firedome. Please post the numbers as Steve has asked for.

Do you have any tail light lenses? Had someone ask me about them recently.

It's supposed to be fun!

Mike

Your engine is a S-19! That is a '54 DeSoto Firedome.

Have a nice day

Steve - Thanks for the info.

There is a set of lenses in the garage but my dad wants to keep those and the 58 bumper so he can hang them above the bar in his basement. If I can get him to change his mind I'll post them on the site. Thanks

Also interested in the '56 steering wheel.

It's supposed to be fun!

Post a picture of that '56 steering wheel so we can see which style it is. One is made from hard rubber and the other from 2 tone plastic.

Have a nice day
Steve

See the last picture in the original post. Bottom of pic; it is a two-tone green plastic wheel. Hard to tell from the pic how solid the wheel is but it does not appear to have any visible cracks or missing pieces.

Sorry I sold the wheel. It was a two tone Green plastic wheel with no cracks in the ring, but there was a crack near the base of the wheel

I have the chrome piece that goes over the head lights. The side trim is still attached to the fenders and I assumed I's sell it with them.
