I am trying to find a set of 1955 exhaust manifolds PN 1407 719 and 1328 064. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Ken,
They appear on eBay occasionally. If I happen to see any I will post here. You've got to find a street rodder who pulled a hemi from a car and is planning to use headers instead of the stock manifolds.
Mark
Thanks Mark. I just found on the board that manifolds from 52 to 55 are the same.
Ken, I have a 53 and there just does not seem to be many similarities between them and 55s. The 53 has a 276.1 cu in hemi. The 55 is different, I believe. Be careful.
Ken,
I've got '46-'54 and '55-'56 MoPar parts books. Here is what they tell us:
RH exh manifold is p/n 1407719 same '53 - '55
LH exh manifold is p/n 1328064 same '52 - '55
So looking used any '53 - '55 hemi will work. FYI...if you find some and find a part number on the manifold know that it likely may not match those above. Often MoPar showed casting numbers on cast parts that were close to, but did not match, the p/n in the parts book.
I'll keep my eyes open; you do the same.
Mark
Thanks for the info. I would have never guessed both from a 52 wouldn't work.
I have a set from my 55. The driver's side is pristine but the pass. side is cracked at the ex. port. you can have them for the shipping cost but you'll need welding and anew carb. heat tube on that one. I'm in Seattle area. dave allard 253 8572724. I can't post pic. here but can email them.
Thanks Dave!!!
