and it is a Coronado...
It looks good but I know next to nothing about this year and model. I have 2 each '52 S17's and am thinking of getting rid of one...
Any thoughts on this car and its potential, fellow club members?
Lar
If it's a Coronado, then where's the third color?? I don't see any black paint on this car. I know it has an extra piece of script below Fireflite on the right front fender, but I can't make out what it says. Also, the green doesn't look like the right shade of green used on the Coronados, but perhaps it has faded.

Bill: Incorrrect repaint in my opinion, wonder what the original combination was
As noted it has the chrome piece under the Fireflite script and also the interior is Coronado (note the white/turquoise combination)
Bill,
The interior on this car confirms it is a Coronado. The upholstery and door panel trim are unique to the Coronado. This one has likely been repainted somewhere along the line.
Lar,
I'll comment from my perspective as a long time '55 owner and '55 Model Year Coordinator. Car appears to be solid from the limited photos provided, however the rocker panels appear questionable. The concerning word in the description is "virtually" no rust. If the long term storage was not watertight I would closely inspect the front floorboard, especially the driver's side and check the trunk floor. As noted above, this car appears to have been repainted at some point in a more modest two-tone scheme. Coronado's in '55 featured then-popular three-tone paint jobs, with any combination of black, surf white and Coronado aqua. Interior in this car is the original but faded special Coronado upholestery that appears to be in reasonably good shape.
There are still many questions. Ad says it runs good, but does it drive and stop. Long term storage can be brutal if the car is not prepared for storage and not started or driven during the process. So, you could be looking at a lot of mechanical work. Considering all the above, asking price of $5K seems rather strong. However, if you could bargain lower you might have a good start to a nice car. Once in good running order, the '55 is a great tour car.
Another regular poster here - Mac George - has a super nice '55 Coronado and is a good source of information as well.

Hola All
The first things I noticed with the interior photos is:
... Seat Belts with "era" appearing Chrome Buckles
... the 6 Volt Spot Light ( made by Unity ? )
... Electric Operated Window
With The Hood is The front Chrome Piece is not cracked.
