Hi All,
I just spent all day looking for a set of hood braces. Thing is, I am starting to think that I am searching for a ghost. I found a pre-teardown photo that does not show the part. The master part book shows it. My car, I think, did not have it. Can fellow 1949 and 1950 owners take a look at the attached photo of the master parts book and tell me if their car has the two items underlined in red.
Thanks all, James
Hi James!
I cannot help you personally, but can you tell me the name of that book? I think I may want to find one like that. Or maybe someone has posted copies of some of the pages here.
Most Sincerely,

Yes, I just looked and there are at least 3 listed for the 1950.
It's going to have to wait until I get another paycheck.

Nope, I do not have this part neither on my car nor at my MPB (Mopar 1950 Passenger Car Parts List, Edition of July 1950 D-13325). The last code in Group 15 (Hood) in 1950 MPB is 15-28-7. 1950 MPB (at least mine) does not have DeSoto or Dodge hood diagrams, only Plymouth and Chrysler diagrams are there.
