A coat of paint and she's like new
I think his starting bid should be a little lower.
This is NOT the 1942 De Soto that was at our convention this year. That car was a DeLuxe 7-passenger sedan, and was in better shape! This car is a 5th Ave sedan, which was the top-of-the-line model for 1942.

Two 1942 doors both in the same color-who would have thought
"...both in the same color..."
Bob, what color is that, rust???
Mark, you obviously don't live in Michigan or you would know that "rust" is a very common car color.
Les,
I grew up in northeast Ohio and spend my first 32 years there. Rust and I are very familiar. My first DeSoto, a '56 Firedome sedan, revealed it's rusty frame shortly after my purchase as a 16 year old!
Thanks for enjoying my feeble attempt at humor!
