Found on Craigslist. Perhaps one of the regulars here working on their '40's DeSoto will recognize this unusually shaped floor pan. Ad reads as follows:
1940? to 1949? DeSoto NOS floor pan - $125 (Salem, OH)
This floor pan was obtained with a large lot of NOS from a now defunct Chrysler/Plymouth dealership. It is labeled as a DeSoto floor pan. It reads 194(?) DeSoto. I am not sure of the year, but it's application would fall somewhere between 1940 and 1949 DeSoto, and it is NOS. $125.00, located near Salem, OH. Call or Text (330)429-31-four-six.
Ad includes two photos so maybe someone can positively id the floor pan.

Looks more like an inner fender splash apron to me.
