It sounds like you're making excellent progress and doing things the right way. That's great too that you can do some of the machine work yourself! I like to do what I can on my own, but machine limitations can sometimes prevent that.
Are you planning to attend the NDC Convention in Chatham this year?
I do not. I've already used most of my vacation time this year so I think I will miss Hershey also
i tore apart my starter and replaced the brushes, cleaned the commutator and replaced the Bendix. For the alternator I cleaned that commutator and replaced the brushes.
I meant generator lol. On the generator I have a question, the brush plate is adjustable, would this adjust output kinda like the old electric motors with adjustable brushes controlled rpm.
I have gone through my distributor, replaced advance springs, and points. It is an northeast electric distributor and parts are scarce and pricey. I have adapted a different set of points to fit. More modern with a nice felt rub on it.
My bearings arrived the other day, I took pictures and send them and the block to get line boared.
And the rods......
Your work is amazing. I can't imagine how you get so much done in such a short period of time but I know you are on a tight schedule to get the car completed. Is it looking like you'll make it? Wishing you all the luck in the world.

I work on the engine every day before work, during an hour lunch break and my other breaks. Then I work on a couple of things at home, some engine some interior. Right now I'm sewing up my own seats and doing repairs to two other classics.
That's dedication!
