Lead for 1947 DeSoto S-11 Custom Sedan for sale

A friend of mine and previous NDC member is wanting to sell a 1947 Custom four door sedan with the fluid drive Tip Toe shift transmission. The car is black and is mostly original condition. The car is in pretty good condition over all. Mechanically the car is in good running order. He has owned it for about 25 years but is now downsizing a bit. I have not seen this car in person for about 12 years, but I rode in it several times at that time and it was a good running good looking car. Here is a list of the things he has done to the car over the years:

replaced center grill with NOS
has new front bumper sill wrapped in paper
new NOS hood ornament
couple of new NOS bezels
all glass good
still 6 volt original system
replaced wiring harness from dash to headlights with original style harness
NO rust!
has a visor for the car but no mounting brackets

NEEDS:

scuff on drivers side rear fender and needs trim for that fender too
carpet is pretty old and may need to be replaced
headliner intact but has two small holes in it near the B pillar, one on each side
there is a cover over the rear seat and it will need to be recovered
drivers door panel needs to be redone
has bias ply tires that are about 20 years old but still good

Hopefully someone will buy this car and do whatever she needs to make her shine!
