For Sale: 1956 DeSoto Fireflite Sportsman 2 door hardtop. White and Iridescent Green (original colors) running project car. Factory options above the standard Fireflite Sportsman features include power seat (works), power windows, trumpet horn, and all-leather seats. The original S24-stamped motor runs great; car starts and runs great with no smoke and has been property-driven without issue. The car sounds good with the dual exhaust and glasspacks. Currently has an Edelbrock carburetor, but comes with the original Carter. New hoses, belts, coolant, oil, power steering fluid, fuel tank cleaning, and recent engine detailing done. The car has been converted to front disc brakes (AAJ kit) with dual reservoir master cylinder, but the brakes need to be redone from sitting. Original drum brake parts come with the car. The interior is very presentable; the original headliner shows well, the door panels are usable, and the seats are in great condition, redone in an aftermarket material. Needs new carpeting. The paint is not original and is in poor condition. The body has a little rust in the typical spots, but overall is very solid. Los Angeles-built car, sold new in Oregon. I have documentation from FCA, including the build card, and some other paperwork with past ownership history and receipts. Clear title in my name. 90+ high-quality photos and videos available to send. Asking $6,500. Located in Southeast Wisconsin. Car can be seen by appointment during the National DeSoto Club convention in a week and a half. If I don't respond immediately, please be patient as I am busy preparing for that event.
