Happily retired in Ithaca, NY. Raised in Detroit suburbs. Father worked for DeSoto Division from 1954 through 1961, and thereafter at Chrysler Fleet and Special Order where he managed police and taxi orders. Brother owns a ‘56 Fireflite and lives in Warren, Mi.
Purchased my ‘55 (aka Shamu) from former member Gilbert Evangelisto in September 2019. She was manufactured at the Los Angeles assembly plant. Gil found her in Arizona back in the 1990s, and shipped her to Eastern Pennsylvania when she was repainted, rechromed, and given a new interior. At some point he also converted her to a 12 volt electric system.
