My '59 DeSoto Firedome was delivered from Thornton Motor Co. or Thornton Auto in Columbus, GA on or about Feb. 21, 1959.  I am trying to find the dealer code number but have nothing with the car that has that information.

If any one can help, I sincerely appreciate it.

Fred

Fred, did you reach out to FCA for the build card? That usually is what has the dealer code. I have also seen it on the owner's certificate that comes with the original owner's manual. You also could check the tag on the underside of the glovebox liner - I am not sure if that code was put there or not.

Hi David,

I have the Owner's Manual and the Owner's Certificate but it's blank.  I don't have the build sheet or IBM card info yet and I have not checked under the glove box liner but will do so when I get back to the shop where the car is.

Thanks for the tip.

Fred
