My brand-new bride Alina has found some photos we'd taken before departing Denver last year.
Here is one of those photos:
Looks like we're missing the right-hand side gauge cluster., a horn button, a radio among other things.
Can anyone help me with locating the parts which are missing here?
Most Sincerely,

So in the picture it shows a clock next to the Cigar Lighter, but what goes in the OTHER rectangle area to the right?
No... I don't own this type of car, just my curiosity speaking.

Ralph,
The vacant space to the right of your speedometer is for the dial face of your radio. Attached is a representation of how your dash will one day look like.
Mac
WOW! Very nice!
So, It looks like I will be in the market for a specific radio to fit the dash openings.
Most Sincerely,

I believe the other rectangular trim serves no purpose other than to add symmetry to the appearance of the dash.
Mac
That makes sense!

If I am not mistaken the '49 had the ash tray and clock in the two rectangle on either side of the speaker. In'50 they put an ashtray near the top of the dash. Hence the extra opening in the '50 Desoto

I am still overseas but should be flying home on Sunday. So far, it looks like Alina and I are still on fro arriving to the Denver area. Wayne M has already wanred me that he feels strongly that I should not drive the car home to Maine. However, we alsready have parts being shipped to the car and we have airline tickets as well a a rental car set up begining on the 17th. We're still going to do it.
There is a small snag. My company has been dragging their feet on authorizing me a week of training in Massachusetts beginning Oct 15th. I all bu gave up on it and went ahead with the road trip plans. If they (my company) gets my training pushed through at the last minute, I may try to postpone the trip for one week.
Most Sincerely,
Ralph M Bohm
