Each year, three of the nine NDC Trustees slots come up for their votes. This year, the three Trustees currently sitting in those positions have decided that they have had enough fun, and that it's time to move on and let someone else be one of our club's Trustees. My problem, regarding this issue at least, is that no one has as of yet volunteered to be a Trustee. Below is a copy of the article printed in the club's magazine about being a Trustee. (Of course, you do have to be an NDC member in order to be an NDC Trustee.)
My contact info is at the end of the article. So if you'd like to be one of the NDC Trustees, or have any questions about this, please let me know. Thanks.

Your 2013 NDC Trustees Election Board of Trustees Needs Candidates
By Bill Noble, Election Coordinator
It’s that time of year again. Not only to start thinking about which car shows you’ll go to this year and how much fun our 2013 National Convention will be, but also about being one of our club’s trustees. Each year, three of the nine trustee positions are up for election. And each year we elect, or re-elect as the case may be, three members to our board of trustees for a three-year term. It is these members who have the most significant influence on how and where our club’s future is going. And now is your chance to become one of those board members.
If you have ideas, hopes, projects, etc. that you’d like to see in our club’s future (or if you just don’t like the way that the current trustees are doing the job and you’d like to see a change), then step up and nominate yourself for one of these trustees positions. All you need to do is to write a paragraph on why you should be one of our club’s trustees. You should include any activities in the past that you’ve done for our club as well as your hopes and plans for our club’s future.
Having a home computer and being connected to the internet are not requirements for being a trustee, but it does make it easier, especially for our club’s secretary (who, by chance, just happens to be me). The board packets are usually sent out and responded to via e-mail, which makes for a much quicker turn-around time.
So please send your write-up to the club’s Election Coordinator (that’s also me) by 15 April, 2013 by either regular mail or via e-mail. I’ll collect these nomination write-ups and combine them into a ballot that each member will receive in the mail.
One reason that I ran for trustee is that I enjoy being an active part of our club. Once you have been a trustee, it can just become a part of you. You feel good knowing that you’re helping out your fellow club members. So here’s your chance to help out and feel good doing it. If you have any questions about how to become a trustee, or about being a trustee for our club, please contact me; thanks.
