I was watching "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" the other day and one of the multiple choice questions was: "A division of cars made by Chrysler from 1928 until 1961 was named after which of these explorers?".
The silly lady didn't know the answer.
More evidence of the dumbing down of America, I'm sure!
It's supposed to be fun!

More on the dumbing down of America. I was at a car show a while back talking to a lady that was interested in the DeSoto. I explained to her the car was named for the explorer and was showing her the image of Hernando on the horn button. She yells at her kids " kids, come see a picture of the man who invented this car". I didn't bother to correct her.
It must be Bushs fault.
I don't think anyone that's not a Mopar guy or girl and is 50 or younger knows what DeSoto's are. That's part of the fun of owning one!
I wish I could recall all of the other answer choices...
...but I do recall that one of the answers was "Magellan".
Let's all keep our eyes peeled for those rare "Magellan" models at upcoming car shows this summer!
I have a "one of none" matching numbers 4 door hardtop convertible sedan coupe in the shop right now! Looking for pictures of the proper bumper jack location at the moment.....
