Looking to buy - NOS or preofessionally rebuilt carb for a 1950 DeSoto (flathead 6 cyl, 237 c.i. engine). This would be a Carter (Ball and Ball mfg. for Chrysler Corp.) single barrel with a number of E7L4.
Willing to pay a very fair price plus shipping costs to zip code 12804. Any and all responses/leads/possible sources much appreciated.
Thanks,
Irv D.

They sell complete carbs.

Mark -
Thanks for the information. I had already tried Kanter, and they told me that they could get a carb that "should" work, but could not guarantee that it was, in fact, the correct one for my car. I might go ahead and get it from them, if they will refund my payment if it is not the correct one.
Hola Irv
During the same era --- every Carburetor used by any De Soto was the
same Carburetor used by any Flat Head Six Windsor.
If your car is an Fluid Drive --- so must its replacement Carburetor be.

Rodger,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I know that all the flathead sixes with fluid drive used the same type carb. Maybe different numbers for different years, but mostly the same beast. I could not get any real assurance from Kanter that what I would be buying was the correct carb. They just said it "should" work. Not good enough for me. I may have to rebuild mine.
