Hey it did work! Easier than I thought - it only took me about a dozen tries.

It's supposed to be fun!
1949 De Soto Custom Convertible (project)
Good evening Tim,
I did use the FAQ suggestion and was confused because the picture itself never came up - just the file ID. I didn't think that was right so I kept trying other things and in desperation just hit preview and there it was! I then hit submit and bingo - there it was posted.
Thanks,
Fred

So when you previewed your post, the image didn't show up in the preview?

Hi Tim,
Yes it did when I hit preview and that's when I pressed submit. I was confident then that the image would display. Prior to pressing preview, there was no image and that's why I thought I was missing something.
Good to go now though - I think.
Thanks,
Fred

NICE CAR!!!!!.....GERRY
Thanks Gerry,
Only had it about a month - it's a 22,000 mile factory original with one repaint. I just received the new Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels and will have them mounted after Easter. Don't want to hide those babies so bye-bye fender skirts!

Hola Fred
To write ..."so bye-bye fender skirts" is like saying The Vatican Is A Hoax
to many.
The first production car in The USA ( and maybe the world ) to have Fender
Skirts was an 1934 De Soto. Now you know who copied whom.

OK Rodger, I am having a problem understanding your point.
I'm keeping the fender skirts because they came with the car when I bought it but are an aftermarket item. I'm just removing them when I put my wire wheels on because I like the wheels better than the skirts. No offense.
Regards,
Fred
