Finally I am in the stage of restoring my 49 deluxe.
Therefore I am looking for some specific parts. For example the trim pieces around the car, hubcaps, lenses etc. Already looked at oldmoparts.com, but it doesn't seeme available.
So could anyone tell me where to find such parts? Preferably new undamaged.
Thanks for reply.
Alex, I found most of my trim parts on e-bay, you just have to look often and keep looking. it took a long time, Good luck.

Paul,
This would become a little to expensive. Because the amount of shipping fees would be to much. All parts have to be shipped to Europe.
I would like to buy parts as much as possible at once.
Anyone other suggestions?
Alex.
Alex, how about a salvage yard? Stainless trim keeps pretty well out in the weather. Lenses probably not so well but it is possible the salvage yard may have pulled some.
There was the salvage yard visited during the NDC convention. There is also Desert Valley auto parts which is here in my home state of Arizona. I would be willing to give them a call. To do so, it would be good to see what you need - a photo of the car would be good. You can email me at pmurko@cox.net. There are also many salvage yards in Texas - you can do a google search on Texas salvage yards.
To upload a foto takes more than an hour and still not works, why???
It's a four door 1949.
Trim I need:
-upper trim grill, both sides
-lower trim grill, also both sides
-upper trim fender front and rear, both sides
-4 hubcaps all chrome
-trim beneath four doors, one piece, both sides
-inlay hood ornament, containing colors red and yellow
All trim must be dentfree. I can rechrome it.
Inside rear view mirror, glass has to be clear
Steering wheel in good order
Venting windows all four, chrome has to be good and glass has to be clear
I think lenses will be faded standing long time in daylight
This fix for downloading pictures, from George McArthur worked for me.

"I have found that this occurs when I click on "add the atachment" and that if I click "browse", open the attachment and click on submit without clicking on "add the attachment", this usually works."
Alex, I gave you my email address. Just email them to me. I am not familiar with your "49. You do tell me it is 4 door but does the deluxe have extra or different trim? I can check on this website to see if someone has good photos of a "49 deluxe.
Alex, I found a complete 49 Deluxe on the NDC website. I will call Desert Valley. One thing you need to know, the trim is seems like it is some kind of stainless steel (but it is not totally because it is somewhat magnetic - attracted to a magnet). Stainless is not usually magnetic. I do not know if you will get good results by chroming the trim parts. In any case, this trim does not rust real easily and what you will probably need to do is polish it well. It could be tough to find totally undamaged trim. It is a matter of whether there is someone available to straighten and remove minor dings.
Maybe someone else can address the chroming.
